My art is produced from layering acrylic paint on Birch boards over a period of two weeks minimum to ensure each layer is completely dry, then sketching a design and carving it with a speedball lino cutter. A feature of my art is the paint oozing over the edges causing a unique effect.

Sunflowers

Layers and layers of paint
This unique style of layering paint then carving an image or design adds texture and depth to the art piece. You will be amazed as the light dances across each piece causing it to sparkle. Durable on solid boards and finished with marine grade protection. Almost any design can be done with this technique. I'm sure they will fast become treasured possessions.
I love birds and when I saw the little blue wren I just loved it. Thanks for my new piece of art.

Vanessa is one of the few paint carvers around. Please head to her Instagram and give her a follow. The photos and videos don't do her artwork justice. They are even more amazing in IRL
